Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers!

We have some exciting news we wanted to share with you as soon as possible as it's a stretch goal we think you'll be very excited for.

GameTrayz Stretch Goal

GameTrayz, for folks who don't know, creates premium in-box storage solutions for games that help make storage, setup and breakdown a lot easier. They have been a huge improvement in every game we've seen them in.

Given how many parts and pieces Reavers of Midgard comes with, we want to make that upgrade available to have a nice built-in storage solution.

If we hit the $300K mark, we'll be including GameTrayz storage trays free inside every Kickstarter edition of Reavers of Midgard. We anticipate being able to show you more of what that will look like in the coming days, but we wanted to let you know as soon as possible!

New Reavers Stretch Goal $260K

Of course a lot of you don't want to have to wait that long to see another stretch goal, especially one dealing with content. So we'll be including another 3 Grey Fox-exclusive Reavers as the $260K stretch goal.

Social Stretch Goal Update

We're making good progress on the social share stretch goal. Of the 250 combined shares and retweets needed to unlock two additional Sea Journey cards, we're more than halfway there at 130 total as of the time of this post.

$200K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED - Social Stretch Goal Update

Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers!

It's been a nice cozy weekend ahead of what we expect to be a nice start to next week with previews coming and some key pieces of the marketing strategy coming into place for the campaign.

In the meantime, a couple of quick updates...

$200K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED 

To give this premium game that bit more of a premium feel, we're now able to upgrade the token and board thickness in this game! Next up is the $220K stretch goal for linen finishes on the cards, something backers requested and we'll hopefully hit soon!

Social Stretch Goal Update 

As mentioned in our last update, we currently have a social share stretch goal going where, with your help, we can unlock two additional sea journey cards. Adding together the Facebook and Twitter pages, we're more than a quarter of the way there, at 75 shares/retweets of the 250 needed.

Message Received - Two Additional Stretch Goals Added

Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers,

Congrats on unlocking the $160K stretch goal to add a new set of sea battle cards to the game.

We've heard your comments and suggestions and as a result, we're offering up two new stretch goals based on what we've received.

These will take a little bit to get added to the official campaign page as our graphic designer is currently playing in Extra Life this weekend for charity and it'll take him a bit to get to it.

Social Stretch Goal

On our most recent update, Fabio Rodrigo suggested adding more sea journey cards to the game as a stretch goal.

Meili was the Norse God of Travel and it only seemed fitting that if you can help our message travel, spreading word of this campaign far and wide, he will grant his blessing in some of your games of Reavers of Midgard - giving you one favor as you sail off into battle. 

If we can hit 250 combined shares on the pinned tweet on our Twitter account and post on the Grey Fox Games Facebook page, we will unlock this Grey Fox-exclusive promo to add to your Sea Journey deck.

$220K Stretch Goal

On our most recent update, Jean-Michael Lavriere suggested adding linen-finished cards as a stretch goal. So why not! To close the gap a bit between $200K and $240K, we're going to upgrade the finish on the cards if this campaign can hit $220K.

The graphic to show this update will take a little bit, but it will be up as soon as we can make the proper update.

Three Stretch Goals Down - Three More Added

Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers,

It's a long journey and the speed at which this campaign is going caught us a bit asleep at the steering wheel. After getting our coffee and a nice breakfast we've laid out three more stretch goals.

We've said it before and we'll keep saying it. Thank you so very much! It's incredibly gratifying for us, JB and all of the fine folks who helped us make this the game that it is.

With all that said, here's the latest.

Stretch Goals Unlocked

In addition to the three Grey Fox exclusive Reavers cards, you hit two more stretch goals overnight tied to components.

But wait.... there's more....

New Stretch Goals

 It's very possible that by the time we finish this update, a new set of Grey Fox exclusive Sea Battle cards will already be unlocked. It's your first battle at sea and we have a feeling you'll be up to it. So we have a couple more challenges ready to go.

And if that one proves too easy.... we have something else in store for the dice.

 This will really upgrade the feel of these dice in the game.

Stretch Goal Suggestion Box

We have a few ideas in the works, but this early on we'd love to hear from you! Please post in the comments here some stretch goal ideas you'd like to see and we'll take them into consideration.

A Truly Glorious Start

Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers,

Wow.... wow.... wow! We're pretty speechless here, so it's a good thing I'm writing this and not saying it.

We knew there was a lot of love out there for Champions of Midgard and its expansions. We're humbled and incredibly pleased that the love for the game meant it could fund within the first six minutes. We've put months and months of hard work getting this game ready and we're gratified to see so many of you excited to play the next chapter of Midgard.

Now it's time to spread the word and unlock some truly excellent stretch goals. Speaking of which.....

Stretch Goals

Our first stretch goal, which has already been unlocked, is a set of three additional Reavers cards. These battle-tested warriors will be GFG exclusive, included with your pledge but not in the retail edition of the game. The graphic will be updated to reflect that fact sometime tomorrow.

Up next, and probably unlocked soon after this update goes up, is a card quality upgrade for all editions of the game at $80K.

We have another stretch goal to increase the size of the crew dice set at $120,000, which hopefully we can get to soon as well.

Because our graphics guy Tyler is home for the day, some of these may be a little slow to update, so bear with us!

FAQ's

You've already chimed in with a lot of fantastic comments to start things off and we've seen a few common questions we wanted to address. We'll be adding these to the FAQ section of the page as well.

When will my add-ons ship?

Any add-ons for this campaign will be shipped simultaneously with the game itself.

How do I add add-ons?

You'll add the additional amount including shipping to your pledge. In the pledge manager sent shortly after the campaign you'll be able to select the specific add-ons you wanted to purchase.

Will there be a pledge manager?

Yes! Through the wonderful folks at BackerKit.

Will there be a fifth player added to the game?

We did a good amount of testing trying to make a fifth player work and, at least for the base game, it just doesn't. Part of the issue is total number of actions over the course of the game... part of the issue is number of available spaces. The board/game is balanced around have six action spaces to choose from and with five players that means all but one is used. To make it work we'd have to add a whole other area of the board. It's an area for a possible future expansion, but not something we can likely handle in this campaign.

Why is the Jarl edition cheaper than the base game?

The Jarl edition is both expansions in a box large enough to hold the base game, but the base game itself doesn't come included.
