$375K Stretch Goal Unlocked - Stretch Goal Adjustment

Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers,
We are a little more than 24 hours away from the campaign ending and things are really surging down the stretch. We've got a couple of pieces of exciting news tied to that!
$375K Stretch Goal Unlocked
We've unlocked yet another stretch goal.... an artifact card that is a Grey Fox-exclusive to add to the Villages deck. That was certainly quick!
Next up, another piece of content... a pair of prophecy cards for the game at $400K.
$500K Stretch Goal Changed
Based on backer feedback, we have lowered the stretch goal for recessed player boards in the Kickstarter edition of the game from $500K to $475K. We don't have a ton of time to get there, but it is most certainly doable.
We're doing our part in not only lowering the target for the stretch goal, but also in spreading the word as much as we can ourselves. We demoed the game exclusively at BGG.Con this past week, we're running ads in a wide array of places and letting everyone we can know about the game. If you'd like to hit this stretch goal, it's possible, but it's going to need your help.
Tell a friend, post on social media, make sure every Champions of Midgard fan out there knows about this worthy successor and we can get there.
BGG.Con Feedback
Just before writing this update, we saw some nice feedback on the game from Steph Hodge. She's a reviewer who works with both BGG and with All the Meeples of the Rainbow.
It was awesome teaching her the game at the booth! If you were one of the backers who tried this out at BGG, we'd love to hear from you too!

Thanks again for the strong support. We're nearly at the finish line and very excited with the trajectory this journey is starting to take down the stretch.
All the best,

$350K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED - Two More Stretch Goals
about 6 years ago
– Mon, Nov 19, 2018 at 01:23:32 AM
Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers,
The Grey Fox team arrived in St. Louis late tonight, back from Dallas with plenty of new games and a lot of excitement for the upcoming two days. It's already off to a fantastic start!
$350K Stretch Goal Unlocked
With this late campaign surge, we've unlocked a beautiful new upgrade for Reavers of Midgard. Now that we're above $350K, this game will have upgraded score markers in the shape of a hammer slammed into the ground.
Congrats on unlocking this tremendous deluxe touch!
Next up... another content goal. This will be one unique Grey Fox-exclusive artifact.
Additional Stretch Goals
With things really starting to get cooking, we've added two more stretch goals... a content related one and a component related one.
First up, two additional prophecy cards for Reavers of Midgard. We foresee that you'll like getting these thrown into the mix.
In order to really make the Ultimate Conqueror's box stand out, we've added a big upgrade as our $430K stretch goal. If we unlock this goal, we'll be providing a really neat embossing effect to all Kickstarter edition boxes of the game!
That's it for now! Time for bed ahead of hopefully another big day for the campaign. Sleep tight viking friends!

$330K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED
We've hit the $330K stretch goal for this campaign, meaning we've unlocked yet another set of Grey Fox-exclusive sea journey cards. These are Loki's Deceit, which will force you to make a tough choice.... either discard one favor or reroll all of your crew dice.
Nice work backers!
Recap
With that stretch goal unlocked, here's what we've been able to get for the game through stretch goals.
Exclusives
GameTrayz insert!
Six additional Reaver cards
4 Sea Journey cards (Loki's Deceit and Blessing of Meili)
3 Sea Battle cards (Swarm of Serpents)
That's in addition to the exclusives already included in this campaign...
First Player Marker Mini
Wooden Food Pieces
Wooden Favor Pieces
Wooden Honor Ship
Wooden Farm Tokens
Wooden Wall Tokens

We've also unlocked quality upgrades for the game including better cards, laser etched dice, larger dice, linen finishes for the cards and thicker player boards. That's an awful lot of stuff and there's even more on the horizon!
Stretch Goals Ahead
We've got three more stretch goals announced.... Two more just ahead and one further in the distance. Up next....
At $350K we'll upgrade the score discs in the game to custom-shaped hammers.
We have a couple of more really tempting stretch goals in our back pocket we'll let you know about shortly.

The Jarl Returns - Nearing $330K - Viking Crossover
about 6 years ago
– Sun, Nov 18, 2018 at 01:17:30 AM
Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers!
It's been a long day of demoing the game here at BGG.con, hopefully getting you some wonderful friends to go conquer and pillage with.
It started this morning with a very special guest.
For background --- a big part of why you know about Champions of MIdgard may be due to an episode of Tabletop with Wil Wheaton.
The winner of this famous game of Champions of Midgard was a true "Viking", former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe.
He has been demoing his game, Twilight of the Gods at a nearby booth and after chatting with him, he said he wanted to get a play in before the con hall opened. Of course, we obliged.
It was a three player game of Reavers and it did not go well for me one bit.
Chris used a heavy artifacts strategy, going after the Raid Villages deck for all it was worth and won by a comfortable margin. He mentioned some interest in backing the campaign, so CHris, if you're here, thanks for the time and for handing my butt to me!
Overall, the game has gotten a very positive response, though it's given us good insight into where the iconography and graphic design can be cleaned up a bit.
If any backers who have tried at BGG.Con are checking their emails, we hope you'll let everyone else know your thoughts.
Nearing $330K
The late surge is slowly starting to build ahead of the big milestone, the vaunted 48 hour mark of the campaign. We'll be posting a recap update ahead of that so that folks know all of the awesome things you've helped unlock.
We're very close to the next stretch goal, Loki's Deceit Sea Journey cards.
A Viking Crossover
If you like vikings... and if you're here, there's a good chance you do, we wanted to give a shoutout to another viking themed game in its final hours on Kickstarter.
Valhalla is purely on the American style of games (even though it comes from Poland), featuring dice chucking and head-to-head combat in a gorgeous package.
That's it for now. We'll chat again in the morning!

A Little More Than Three Days to Go.....
– Sat, Nov 17, 2018 at 12:03:40 AM
Hey there Reavers of Midgard backers!
Things have definitely seemed to pick up on the campaign in the past 24 hours...
While all of the action is occurring online, we've been demoing Reavers of Midgard as hard as we possibly can here at BGG.con, meeting several current backers of the project and even more soon-to-be backers of the project. Crystal from Board Game Blitz swung by the booth to say hi.....
We anticipate showing it off to Chris Kluwe (former Minnesota Viking) tomorrow morning before the halls open.
The UndeadViking sat down with our head of game development Josh to talk a little Reavers after trying it....
We also did another two player live playthrough on Board Game Gumbo.... Click the image below for the link.
